Dr. S. Akila is a highly experienced teacher educator with over 18 years of dedicated service in B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes. She possesses strong academic expertise and has made significant contributions to the field of teacher education through her teaching, research, and academic leadership. She has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, serving as a resource person and subject expert. Her areas of expertise include both subject content and pedagogy, enabling her to effectively bridge theoretical knowledge with classroom practice. Dr. Akila has played a key role in curriculum development and academic planning, including involvement in syllabus revision, curriculum design, and serving as a member of the Board of Studies in various teacher education institutions. Her contributions have supported the enhancement of quality and relevance in teacher education programmes. In addition to her academic engagements, she has successfully organized several conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. She has also served as Chief Superintendent for Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) examinations and has been actively involved in the valuation process, ensuring the maintenance of academic standards and integrity.
